Why you will need a CRA my account

CRA my account is the personal tax account in CRA system. Taxpayers should get familiar to your own account with CRA because it has multiple functions to hep you with your tax returns and benefits.

  • You can change your contact information from this account, such as phone number, mailing address, family members, marital status, direct deposit bank account  information etc.
  • You can search and find your current and prior years’ NOA (Notice of Assessment)and correspondences from CRA;
  • You can view and download your T slips
  • You can view your benefit account and see how much you get for current year or previous years.
  • Through the tab “submit document”, you can get in tough with CRA and send digital document to them regarding tax matters.
